Laughing Sun Brewing Company

Laughing Sun Brewing Co. is a brewery, taproom and barbecue restaurant on East Front Avenue in Bismarck. Founder and brewmaster Mike Frohlich chose the name with a simple idea in mind: the sun does not judge or question, it simply gives life. Laughing Sun beer is sold on tap and in 12-ounce cans at bars, restaurants and liquor stores across North Dakota and neighboring states. The taproom pours the full house lineup plus house-made sodas, cider, seltzer slushies and wine, and six-packs are available to go. The kitchen smokes meats for dine-in, barbecue takeout and catering, and local voters have named it the top barbecue in Bismarck. The Sun Stage, with its own sound and lighting system, hosts live music on weekend nights, monthly open mic nights, art classes, yoga and local markets. The brewery also runs a mug club with member parties.
